So listen, it's time for TEAM SNAP to step up to the plate and hit this one out of the park. I'm willing to do the 5K, and could possibly be persuaded to run the 10K. The Amica Iron Horse Half Marathon is a scenic two-loop course which begins and ends in the center of Simsbury. Runners will enjoy the picturesque course along the Farmington River and the farmlands of Simsbury. The charming town center is loaded with quaint shops and wonderful restaurants.

The 2012 Amica Iron Horse Half Marathon, 10K & 5K has partnered with Purple Heart Homes, a veteran owned and operated 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization founded to give back and make a difference in the lives of Service Connected Disabled Veterans. This year we are supporting Marine Corporal, Manny Jimenez a squad leader in Afghanistan who lost his left arm, hearing, and partial sight when an IED detonated while on routine foot patrol. Manny grew up in New Britain, CT and has a goal to go to college and become a physical educator instructor. Help us raise money to build Manny a home in Glastonbury, CT.
