**IMPORTANT CLUB NEWS FROM MICHELE**

Hello Snap Avon!

Fall is the season of change and with that in mind there are a lot of changes going on at Snap!

First -- we are changing the group class schedule for the fall/winter months as follows:

1. Effective immediately both Monday 6pm evening boot camp and Saturday morning 10:30am boot camp will be Cardio Bootcamp classes with an emphasis on conditioning rather than a focus on strictly weights. This class will be taught by Ben Rocher, who is going to guest instruct for the next two weeks!   Should you all love the class, and he love teaching it at Snap, we will continue with the new schedule - so your feedback is very important :)

2. Also effective immediately - and by popular demand - both Wednesday 5pm yoga class and Saturday 11:30am yoga class will BOTH now be ABS AND CORE classes.

Second..............just like with your workouts:  Even if you enjoy doing what you are doing, changing things up is important for forward progression as long as you have a strong core.  And with a power team at Snap consisting of: long time Director of Personal Training, Brian Szmigiel, Elite Personal Trainer Robert Smith, and myself, we ARE your strong core and aren't going anywhere.

We are, however, sad to say that as of next Friday, October 25th, Snap's "Sweetheart" and club manager, Jessica Bergen, will no longer be with us.  Jessica has been offered a position as a field hockey program director at Stick Time Sports in Agawam Massachusetts; and as you all know field hockey is Jessica's passion so she simply cannot pass this opportunity up.  She will be dearly missed so join me in wishing her well by signing the cards that I will have on display at the front entrance of the club.

I am actively interviewing for the position and won't choose "just anyone" -- our new club manager has some serious shoes to fill!

Lastly -- I'd like to welcome all the new members that have joined us at Snap so far this fall.  I have a lot of plans at the club including the launch of round 2 of the Grocery List at ShopRite supermarket ....so stay tuned for further updates :)

............but please remember to rack your weights and clean up after yourselves.  Snap isn't just a gym............it's PERSONAL. :)

Have a great week everyone....and remember....We're always listening :)

Mike's Video of the Week - April 7, 2012

Here's a little clip of Mike's boot camp class!
Have you ever wondered what the boot camp classes are like here at the club?  Here's your chance to get a little insider information on some of the workouts they complete!  In this video, we have Kelly and Patty, and they start their workout with jumping jacks.  Mike then has them move on to knee-ups, which really aren't as much fun as you'd think they are.  After knee-ups, they switch to squat jumps with a medicine ball press.  Now keep in mind, the time of this video is an uncut 2 minutes and 40 seconds.  Boot Camp is an entire hour long.  So there is plenty more fun to come.  :-)
Mike has different regimens on different days and times of class, and this was a smaller class so he spent more time on specifics with these two (he loves the smaller classes, and he loves to make people sweat).  Some nights they head outside and run hills, other nights they are sprinting on the cardio, and some nights it's just burpees, burpees, burpees...  But in the end, every member of the class is fit and getting stronger.  And everyone here at Snap just LOVES it!!
