ROCK STARS TRAIN AT SNAP FITNESS AVON

The famous rock group OTHERWISE (hit album True Love Never Dies) was in town on tour Saturday September 28th and came to Avon just to meet with 3x Figure Pro and Snap Fitness Avon owner Michele Welcome-Pellegatto (they are fans of hers just as much as she is a fan of theirs) and see the gym. As a special treat for the guys, Michele joined heads with her staff of elite personal trainers including head trainer Brian Szmigiel and trainers Katey Hurley and Robert Smith and together they gave lead singer Adrian Patrick, guitarist Ryan Patrick, and bassist Vassilios "V" Metropoulos one heck of a workout.  The workout included tire flipping, rolling tires up hills, gorilla crunches, sled pushes, box jumps, and more! It was a challenging workout for anyone but the three rockers did an amazing job pushing through it! 

After the workout the guys cleaned up and Michele took them to The Village Cafe & Bistro for her Michele ApprovedTM breakfast. Owner Jane Day had a special egg dish called "Eggs Otherwise" on the Specials Board as a perfect way to greet the rock band.  The guys had been on the road for three days without a wholesome meal so Michele made sure that they all had the freshly juiced fruit/veggie combo created by owner Jane Day. Michele also made sure the guys got to try the Michele Approved protein pancakes to go along with their healthy egg dishes.  The guys left The Village replenished and full ---- and ready to rock in their concert that evening where they stopped the music to do a spotlight introduction and thank you to Michele as the "band's personal trainer" and inspiration.

Michele and Otherwise's mutual support and friendship started after they connected on Facebook while both were working hard to succeed in each of their industries.  Michele competes professionally - has earned professional status in three different organizations in her career - and as she was preparing for one of her professional world competitions, the music of Otherwise was her inspiration to keep going and push hard to reach her goals.  While Michele was giving it all she had to prepare for her shows, Otherwise was giving it all they had trying to make a name for themselves and get their music out to the mainstream audiences and became the first unsigned artist to reach #1 on Sirius Octane satellite radio (they have since been signed).  Both the fitness and music industries are competitive and challenging so both Michele and Otherwise could relate to the strength, passion, and drive that it takes to continue forward without any guarantees on the other end.  Their authentic support for each other blossomed into a one-of-a-kind respect and friendship.

The weekend stop on tour isn't the end for the connection of the rock band and the Figure Pro and Health and Fitness Leader.  Otherwise has asked Michele to work with them on their nutrition and training while they are on the road.  The goal is to document a transformation with the health and fitness level of the band so that they can be better prepared for the endurance it takes to perform on stage for an hour and a half at a time. Michele is up for the challenge and is thrilled to be a part of their journey to health and fitness as she continues to try and transform the health of her community with her Michele ApprovedTM health and fitness movement.  Keep an eye out for the launch of the health and fitness collaboration of Michele and Otherwise.  It will be exciting to watch!
